Day 3 - Helmet Time

Day 3 BDRCR Sunday (Longreach Qld )

Four hours helmet time

Thoughts of all the love in my life

Foremost and in the centre

is my beautiful darling wife

Many say I’m never excited

That I’m not a happy man

“People” did not see my tears of joy

When Irene gave me her hand

Irene loves me for me

And for whom and what I am

She helps to make me stronger

To be a better man

Four hours inside my helmet

I remembered every kiss with care

I thought of every good time we've had

and will forever share

Some say I’m getting old now

and soon I’ll be counted as departed

but this journey of Irene’s and mine

Is only getting started .
