How to Break the Silence?

I lay silently in a darkened room

For the gift of a ring I somehow entered this tomb

The kids are grown now we're always home

I’m  laying here on our bed and I’m all alone

I wish my face could still make you smile

You haven’t looked at me that way for the longest while

I daydream about you till the sun starts to rise

You never look over here for the tears in my eyes

You never change anymore when I’m in the room

You lock the door and say don’t come back soon

If I praise your beauty and say I like your dress

You bite my head off who  am I trying to impress

I wish my face could still make you smile

You haven’t looked at me that way for the longest while

I daydream about you till the sun starts to rise

You never look over here for the tears in my eyes

I can remember the feel of your soft skin

The way you used to look at me when I came in

We would laugh and dance till our legs got sore

Now we step on each other’s toes passing through the door

I wish my face could still make you smile

You haven’t looked at me that way for the longest while

I daydream about you till the sun starts to rise

You never look over here for the tears in my eyes

I watch you every day and all the things you do

I miss you darling I’m still so much in love you
